Job Overview
The project manager position is responsible for overseeing, planning, executing, and tracking projects from start to finish. Must have technical experience in the distribution of commercial doors, frames, and hardware along with the ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Gather and review blueprints, drawings, specifications, bid scope, and other documents.
- Review bid takeoff and project documents to identify any discrepancies
- Oversee and manage document control processes.
- Collaborate with management to determine the best practices on a project-by-project basis.
- Utilize Comsense ERP to detail projects and generate submittal packages
- Utilize Comsense ERP to manage projects, procure materials, and create shipments
- Communicate with customers via RFI’s pertaining to bid documents as needed.
- Coordinate schedule and purchasing of materials accordingly
- Maintain close communication with the Contractor.
- Quote and Submit change orders per Contractor’s requests
- On-site field verification to ensure coordination of existing conditions
- Attend job site meetings as required.
- Provide troubleshooting solutions with Contractors and Manufacturers
- Maintain project tracker via Microsoft Teams
Qualification
- Must be able to utilize Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills
- Utilize Comsense ERP system for detailing and order management purposes
- Utilize Bluebeam for drawing management purposes
- Good communication skills
